Christchurch members gathered with their partners to celebrate World FM Day. The purely social event also served as an opportunity to thank the partners for their unstinting support over the past twenty-two extremely busy and trying months in Christchurch. The hours worked in the immediate aftermath of the September and February earthquakes and the Boxing Day and June major aftershocks were almost incalculable. Without staunch back-up from the home front Facilities Managers and Facilities Contractors would not have been able to concentrate on the recovery and the repair of damaged assets. The event was jointly sponsored by Opus International and ECL Group. The event in Auckland took place at Mt. Smart Stadium, home of the New Zealand Rugby League. A speaker did a presentation on their success in implementing a PPP contract.FMA Australia
